February 2020 - Project TEMBO Presentation and Fabric Sale
Project TEMBO provides education for girls and economic empowerment for women through micro-finance loans or micro-business opportunities. They do this work in two villages in northern Tanzania – Longido and Kimokouwa.
Project sustainability is fundamental to their work and the objective is to achieve this by 2020. Project TEMBO has already established activities toward realizing this objective. A micro-finance program was launched in 2005; TEMBO Trust was registered in Tanzania in June 2007; and the TEMBO Guesthouse was officially opened in January 2009.
In Canada, Project TEMBO and its volunteers raise awareness and raise funds, and in Tanzania, TEMBO Trust carries out programming. The focus is educating and empowering girls and women.
