You must include a description of the inspiration for your quilt. You must include credit where credit is due, including pattern name and creator, the name of the quilter and the technique used (ie, long arm, domestic machine, etc), and anyone else who assisted you.

CQA Member Guild Challenge - to be judged during the April 2022 Meeting
The theme for the CQA member guild challenge is 'Reaffirm'. At the April meeting, we will be choosing our entry to go to Quilt Canada 2022. The provincial colours are those that evoke Ontario to you.
For details, see https://canadianquilter.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Reaffirm_Challenge_dr2.pdf
The provincial colours are ones that you think best represent your province.

Challenge Yourself - to be judged during the May 2022 Meeting
Our second challenge this year is a personal challenge. To participate in this challenge, you are asked to choose a quilting technique that you have been 'avoiding like the plague' LOL! Take a technique that you have avoided trying for whatever reason and come up with a finished item using that technique. It can be a cushion, table runner, wall hanging or a bed quilt for example.
Some techniques that I have thought of are
curved piecing stack and whack
scalloped or curved edge binding yoyos
applique cathedral windows
hand quilting thread embellishment
paper piecing portrait quilts
trapunto collage quilts
This is not an exhaustive list, merely suggestions. You know what you have not wanted to do so CHALLENGE YOURSELF!
This challenge will be due at our May 11 meeting. Please submit a photo of your challenge piece and accompanying short paragraph describing why you chose that technique and your learning journey to robynheather@hotmail.com by
May 1 so that we can have the files uploaded ready for the meeting.
Have fun and enjoy the journey.
