Here’s some information on my Hover-quilting Inspiration Workshop!
Class Description: Hover-quilting is a new form of raw edge appliqué, absent of fusible web.

Two-Day Workshops dates for the first quarter of 2021:
January, 2021:January 9th-10th
February, 2021: February 13th-14th
March, 2021: March 6th-7th

Walking Foot Quilting by Melissa Marginet
Hosted by the Common Thread Quilt Guild
We have a wonderful workshop coming up next month. Haven't you always wanted to finish your own quilts venturing past quilting in the ditch? Here's your chance to learn how, from the comfort of your own sewing room.
Virtual Workshop - Modern Quilting with your Walking Foot - December 5, 2020

As a participant in this class, you will make samples of different quilting ideas that can be executed on the home sewing machine with a walking foot. These samples will be a great reference for you when deciding how to quilt your next quilt. This class includes information on quilting all sizes of quilts on the home sewing machine. - ALL LEVELS Based on Melissa's book, Walking Foot Quilting Designs which is recommended for the class.

Double Friendship Knot Workshop with Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill of Whole Circle Studio
Hosted by the Ottawa Modern Quilt Guild
This workshop taught by Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill of Whole Circle Studio combines foundation paper piecing and appliqué.
Learn how to make the Double Friendship Knots mini quilt (18” x 18”). This block incorporates foundation paper piecing on a machine and hand needle-turn applique. In the first class, students will foundation paper piece their “scrappy knots” on a sewing machine. In the second class, we’ll slow it down and kick back with some handwork— learning how to prepare the applique and how to apply the layered motif by alternating basting and needle-turn applique techniques. Along the way, Sheri will share all of her tips and tricks for both foundation paper piecing and needle-turn applique. When complete, students can make their mini quilt into a wall hanging or pillow. It makes an excellent gift for a friend, partner, or special couple.
About Sheri:
Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill is a designer, quilt pattern publisher, award-winning quilter and educator. As a trained and practicing graphic designer, her quilts start with a concept and research shapes the design. Sheri strives to enhance people’s everyday lives through beautiful meaningful design.
