The 2021 Raffle Quilt
On Sunday July 11, 2021 a few Prince Edward County Quilters' Guild members met at the Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC) to make use of the Dukes' Raffle Barrel. The WDCC normally provides the venue for the PECQG Quilt Shows.
The winner of the Evening Star hand quilted king sized quilt was Cindy Brooks of Picton, ON. (Ticket # 4273)
On Wednesday July 14, 2021 Guild Members Betty Beaumont and Sandy Jeapes were able to meet up with Cindy to give her the quilt.

- the Municipality of Prince Edward for granting permission to extend our Raffle license an extra year

- Carole Ostrander and Nancy Westervelt, our ticket sales event coordinators
- Anne Russell, our Raffle ticket sales coordinator, especially for the extra work accompanying on-line sales

- Barbara Jordan, our web manager and social media co-ordinator
- Mad Dog Gallery for selling raffle tickets on the premises
- all PECQG Members who sold raffle tickets (who quite often purchased their own tickets to gift to family and friends)
- all the Quilt Guilds whose members purchased tickets and who helped promote our event
- all of the general public who purchased raffle tickets
- the Wellington Dukes for granting us use of their raffle barrel
- the WDCC staff
Lee Waterhouse (2018 Best of Show Winner) completed the beautiful quilt top.
Several members spent more than 200 hours hand quilting it in the work room at Picton Fabric World:
Anne House, Janet Reader Day, Barbara Jordan, Barb Hofstra, Penny Hopkins, Nancy Hicks, Kelly Pannacci, Ellen McFaul, Frauke Lentsch, Anne Longston, Marianne Sanders, and Liz Arnold. Lyne Lusk did the binding and Pat Hayes made the quilt label.
