2022/2023 Workshops
Wonky Blocks and Tricks and Techniques by Patricia and Marianne
Saturday, April 29 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
Bloomfield United Church Hall
We are very lucky to have our talented members Patricia and Marianne present this workshop!
Patricia will be showing you:
- how to do Flying Geese four ways
- partial seams to set rectangles
- a curved seam block
- plus a few tricks and hacks.
This part of the workshop is for skill building, you will not necessarily go home with pretty finished blocks (although you may). Conquering these techniques, you won’t hesitate to try patterns containing these units in the future.
Then Marianne will be showing you:
- improv circles and stars, discover new inspiration when you let go and ‘‘cut as you will’ although you still need to use good sewing practice. These blocks will lend themselves to use for an entire quilt.
By the end of this workshop curved piecing will frighten you no more!!
